A striking transparent glaze that gives a beautiful glassy surface look to your pottery. The glaze can be used for earthenware, stoneware, and is perfect for creating tableware. Botz recommend (from 1200°C) in high firing for tableware, clays are almost always sintered and hence the dishes are suitable for food, so therefore the glaze can be applied to your tableware without any worries.The Semi-transparent Bots Pro 9300 glaze allows coloured clay to shine through and in addition show a beautiful colour brilliance of their own. The hotter the glaze is fired the more it will flow and become semi-transparent. Extremely easy to use in a broad firing range from 1020°C to 1280°C (cone 05-04 to cone 8-9) At 1050°C the glaze is wonderfully colourful and almost opaque. Apply 2-3 glazing coats. At 1150°C the glaze is vibrant in colour with a semi-transparent surface. Apply two glazing coats. At 1250°C the glaze is glassy, semi-transparent with intensive pastel shades, which is fabulous on porcelain clay. Apply two coats. Good to know: Works in combination with underglaze colours. Colours can be mixed to create a unique palette. Will flow more at a higher temperature.
