Styled on the famous best selling Yamaha FG700 Acoustic model, the JR2 comes with many of the great features of this iconic model in a compact size. Perfect for campfire singalongs, road trips or anywhere else you want to play! The JR2 is the model above the JR1 in Yamaha's travel guitar range.
Coming in at around 3/4 as large as a full size dreadnought guitar, this truly is an ideal travel instrument. This smaller size is also helpful for beginners, but crucially does not drastically diminish the sound! The clean natural finish ensures that this guitar won't look out of place wherever you go!
With its mahogany Finish UTF back & sides and its slightly arched top the JR2 looks the part. Not only that, but it also has a louder and more defined sound than its Traveler peers, giving you the projection and clarity you would expect from a full size. This is partly due to the spruce top and rosewood fingerboard, which improve both the sound and the playability of the JR2.
