Introducing the MMX Signature Cello

Each MMX Signature A** grade cello is hand carved and personally selected by master luthier Guofang Wang in the MMX workshop in Beijing with utmost care and attention to detail. The selected spruce, flamed maple and ebony give the best possible sound and appearance to the cello. Once the instrument is assembled, an oil-based varnish is layered by hand to give the instrument an antique chestnut brown finish with great depth and warmth.

All MMX cellos are setup in our workshop to ensure that the instrument meets our standards. Since each Signature model is unique, we select fine quality strings to suit the instrument but are also happy to be directed by the customer. We tend to use Larsen or Jargar strings depending on the characteristics of the instrument.
