John Packer’s JP021 is a reliable budget clarinet designed for first-time players. With consistency of tone and ease of maintenance, the JP021 has long been a first choice for schools and music groups nationwide.

Sturdy construction

The JP021 is constructed from ebonite, a robust material made of hardened rubber. Although slightly less reverberant than wood, it remains unaffected by the changes in temperature or humidity which can cause cracks in wooden instruments. The keywork is nickel-plated, so you can be sure it will last all the way through the lower grades and beyond.

John Packer have also provided an 'easy blow’ mouthpiece. By making it easier for students to play the clarinet from the first attempt, this encourages proper embouchure and technique, as well as producing an even tone early on in the learning process.

This instrument comes with two tuning barrels so the instrument is easy to play in tune, in any climate for any player.

The JP021 comes as a complete outfit with John Packer mouthpiece, cap, ligature, two barrels and pull through. It is contained within a colourful moulded case with shoulder strap for ease of transportation to and from lessons.
