The build quality of the JP042 is superb, and as with all John Packer outfits, it comes with a professional quality case - an important consideration when the instrument needs to survive the rigours of daily school life. With a colourful dynamic range and a mature tone, this saxophone is good enough to get the keen student through to grade 5 at least. The reliable response motivates young students to practice often, and there's no danger of them outgrowing the instrument thanks to the floating plate design, high F# and front F keys, as well as an adjustable thumb rest. The decorative engraving on the bell and elegant Abalone pearls on the keys gives this instrument an attractive and professional appearance.
