As children move the bricks in the cart and carry planks across the outdoor space, they practice gross motor skills and strengthen core muscles. They might use the crate as a base to construct simple structures or experiment with creating bridges, ramps or tunnels by propping planks between surfaces, exploring balance, gravity and cause and effect through hands-on investigation.
